Kitchen Garden

When we were restoring Mangerton House we found the remnants of a wall and decided that there must have been a walled garden.

It made sense to build a Kitchen Garden and the fruits of this labour can be harvested at your leisure.

Currently we are growing red/green lettuce, salad leaves/flowers inc nasturtium, borage, rocket, mizuna, beet, sorrel, spring onions red/green, garlic, french beans, sugar snaps, mange tout, carrots, potatoes, beet root, chard, various herbs inc, parsley, sage, rosemary & thyme, basil, coriander, some chilies.
Fruits at the moment are strawberries inc. wild woodland varieties, raspberries, blueberries(ripening)and white/red/black currants, rhubarb, and peaches.
